I’m still playing these irons (Ping i3+ blade) today, 4 years later. I absolutely love them. When I made the switch I was a 14 handicap, today my cap is down to an 8 and still going down. Granted I work on my game more now than before, but I have so much more confidence in my irons now. This makes a HUGH difference.
Since then I have added more Ping Golf clubs to my bag. I added a set of G2 fairway woods in 2004, a putter (G2i Craz-e) in 2005, and two G5 Hybrids in 2006. If you haven’t changed out your long irons for hybrids yet, you are throwing away lots of strokes. They are so much more forgiving and way easier to hit.

We struggle with swing thoughts, mechanics, tempo, alignment. We are intimidated by hazards on either side of the hole. We think “I don’t want to go right there is out of bounds over there” or “don’t go left there is a water hazard there.” Inevitably when we think about the things that we don’t want to happen, we have opened the door and our Mental Game thoughts take over. The result is we are either OB or in the water hazard.

In my opinion the advancement of GPS is a wonderful thing for us amateur golfers. I believe it is one of the most effective tools that anyone can have in their golf bag. This is a gadget that every golfer should have!

I purchased a Golf GPS two years ago. I haven’t regretted the decision at all. I find it to be an invaluable piece of equipment, because it’s saved me many strokes. It has sped up my game because I no longer have to pace off the yardage and my approach shots are more accurate than ever before. I now know the exact yardage to the green from where ever my tee shot comes to rest.
